The West Dorset Family Therapy consists of a group of highly skilled psychotherapists with years of counselling practice, accredited with appropriate training organisations, fully insured and operating with enhanced criminal records bureau clearance.

Key Members are:


Robert Montagu

Robert trained for four years as a systemic psychotherapist at the Kensington
Consultation Centre in London, where he gained a Master of Science Degree
with Distinction.

He worked from 2004 to 2007 as a family therapist for NHS Child and
Adolescent Mental Health (CAMHS) in Hertfordshire and London. Since 2007 he has practiced at the Poundbury Clinic in Dorchester and at home in Portesham, seeing individuals, couples and families. Robert is the founder and chairman of the Dorset Child and Family Counselling Trust which provides mental health appointments for families referred by health professionals across Dorset.


Serenna Davies

Serenna Davies has a total of 28 years experience and expertise of working with children, teenagers, adults and families. Serenna has worked in the NHS, schools, colleges and a young offender’s prison. Serenna is a Registered Nurse, Health Visitor, Counsellor and Family Therapist. She trained within the National Health Service, Cruse Bereavement Care and with Psychology of Vision UK. Serenna works independently from home as well as with the Dorset Child and Family Counselling Trust, West Dorset Family Therapy and Mosaic, a children’s Bereavement Charity. Serenna is friendly and approachable and very much enjoys working with families. She is divorced and has two grown up daughters.
